High Point HS Instrumental Music Department

2009 Eagles News & Events! 

Tuesday, December 22, 2009:  High Point's Performing Arts Department will collaborate to bring our annual Winter Concert.  This evening event will begin at 7:00 PM.  We encourage family and friends to come and support. 

Friday, November 6, 2009:  The Marching Eagles has a lot in store for our Homecoming Day!  We begin with a Hallway Parade in school, then outside for a Pep Rally performance.  The evening will conclude with playing during the Homecoming Game.  Students will finish approximately by 10:00 PM.

Saturday, October 24, 2009:  The Marching Eagles will compete in the Howard University Homecoming Parade and Show Competition.  The parade begins at 10:00 AM, followed by the show competition.  Students must arrive to High Point at 8:00 AM and will return approximately by 4:30 PM.

*UPDATE!!  Both the Home Game vs. Laurel HS and Bowie State's Homecoming Parade are canceled, due to weather.

Saturday, October 17, 2009:  The Marching Eagles will march in the Bowie State Homecoming Parade @ 9:00 AM.  Students must arrive to High Point at 7:00 AM and will return approx. by 4:30 PM.

Friday, October 16, 2009:  The Marching Eagles will perform during High Point's Home Game, vs. Laurel HS.

Wednesday, October 14, 2009:  The Marching Eagles will perform in the 2009 Marching Band Showcase.  The event begins @ 5:30 PM.  Contact Mr. Cherry for tickets.

*Starting the week of September 21, 2009:  Practices for the Marching Eagles will be held Tuesdays through Thursdays. 

Friday, September 18, 2009:  The Marching Eagles will be performing for High Point's Varsity Football Game vs. E. Roosevelt HS.  The game begins at 3:30 PM.
